Our recent Imperial Palace 24-hour walk was a great success, attracting over 100 participants from babies to grandparents, raising ¥380,000 for our chosen charities.
In April, the inaugural KIWL Charity Futsal Cup took place with 16 teams. British Embassy FC Bulldogs were victorious but the biggest winners were NPO Esperanza who received nearly ¥100,000 in funds raised.
Our ever popular Pub Quiz in May was at the Hobgoblin in Roppongi, attracting 104 players and not a stitch of lycra in sight! The evening raised ¥374,000.
Our flagship event is the 4-day 500km cycle ridefrom Kinugawa Onsen to Ichinoseki held in June. 37 male & female cyclists successfully completed the challenging course.
The second 'Go-Go 55' running event is planned for November 10th. Runners are invited to conquer 55kms or a 21km half-marathon from Tokyo to Saitama.
Our second annual Golf Day is confirmed for Sunday November 11th, more details to come.
Our 2018 schedule ends with our annual Santa Ride in December which visits a local children's home with Santa cyclists delivering presents and seasonal cheer.
KIWL is also planning a first-ever 'Cricket Blast' in partnership with the Japan Cricket Association on Saturday March 30th 2019 in Tochigi. A strictly 'for fun' tournament for men, women and older children of all abilities.
